Welcome to the last topic in our visionary series - cultivating resilience for our mental health and to help us achieve our goals.
Why is resilience important? It’s kinda like that Spiderman quote…"with great power there must also come great responsibility". When you aim for some big goals, big stressors can come along with it.
For example - buying a house. We think of the deposit and home loan, but after comes utility bills, council rates, maintenance, renovations, gardening etc. If we’re not prepared, the stress bar shoots up, and we can feel totally overwhelmed. But what if instead of having a menty-b, you had enough resources in your tool belt to just take all the new stressors in your stride?
And for clarity, when we talk about resilience, we are not talking about emotional bypassing the stress entirely. It's about becoming adaptable and capable of harnessing the energy of stress to fuel your journey, health and goals, and not derail you.
