I have been setting goals probably since the age of 15, and I have been rigorous in my yearly goal-setting. I remember at the end of last year, I really struggled with writing my goals for the first time for most of my adult life. We were coming out of the lockdown era and personally in the lead-up, I had been sick with autoimmune issues, felt burnt out, overwhelmed and unsure of what path I wanted to create.
So, instead of the usual SMART goal setting techniques you always hear about, I turned to neuroscience to help me really tap into my inner wants and what I wanted to create for my life.
